My distributor sent me the wrong offset so instead of trying to exchange them I'll offer them for $125 each they retail for $149 each. These are 10x5 4/144 4+1 offset

Hello,
I am pretty new to quads and was just wondering what the offset numbers stand for? I see them alot and am confused what the numbers mean... (Ie: 4+1)

Thanks
Dave

4= 4 inches to the center of the wheel from the inside, and 1= 1 inch to the center from the outside.. i run plus 1 a arms and use 4+1 offset wheels so i won't really be wider than i was.. stock offset is 3+2, so i'm really wider but not when i put the wheels on.. i know it's confusing and i thought i wasted money until i got used to this setup, then rode a stocker again.. better handeling and turning at high speed, plus i race woods and you don't want to be wide..
correction not the center of the wheel, where the wheel bolts up to the hub.. is it any clearer now??

OK, so if I understood that correctly, a 4-1 offset wheel would put me an inch narrower on both sides with the stock arms?

I ride desert and woods and would like to be a little wider for obvious reasons and am looking for a new set of rims (front and rear).

Do I want to buy the offset for the rears and fronts?

Thanks
Dave

i just edited my post.. the wheel is the same width as stock just different where it bolts up.. just doesn't stick out as far as stock would... 4+1 sticks out 1 inch and 3+2 sticks out 2 inches

you would need a longer axle to widing the rear

Lol so a 4-1 would make me one inch narrower?

Is it a "rule of thumb" or anything like that to stay even on the front and rear... If I go +1 up front should I go +1 on the rear as well?

Thanks
Dave

4+1 will make you shorter with stock arms, by allmost 2 inches and you don't want that. woods riding you don't want the rear any wider, and going shorter will make it handle like chit, only use the 4+1 if you run +1 arms..
like helping people no prob, i went through all this 2 years ago, but luckily i live close to santo derisi a top pro gncc rider and learned all this from him..

Do you have any more? I am interested in set for my Z400. 250.00 shipped to 45252?
I'm unclear why you are getting rid of them. You said you run 4-1 offset and you are selling these because they were the wrong offset. These are 4-1 right?

they were for a customer and the distributor sent me 4+1 instead of 3+2 like I ordered. and I didn't want to have to pay the freight back. normal price for these rims are $140 each if quadcustoms doesn't want this set then they are yours but I have to have freight added.

I need to add freight to these because I priced them as low as I could, if I pay for the freight I am in the hole.
