What do you guys think is the best food to eat before a mx race. Which gives you the most energy?

The best thing to do is the day before drink alot and eat 6 small meals with complex carbs, such as oats, yams, veggies, anything high in fiber. On the race day keep eating small meals, don't eat high sugar foods, b/c it raises your blood sugar giving you instant energy but in about 45 minutes your blood sugar level will crash making you sleepy. Amazingly gatorade will do the same, thats why I only drink propel.

I can't really eat high sugar foods anyway I am diabetic
