Alright, This winter, I will again be rebuilding my 400ex again! This time I have a 2nd Job that way i can do it right this time!
I have been looking at a-arms, And i understand +1 for the width, But what i dont completly understand, Is the +1 forward!

For plus 1 forward, What will add wheelbase, But does a 400ex really need the extra length for XC racing, I Already have a +1 swingarm, What is your opnion on Brands, and diffrent sizes of a-arms!!!! And should i purchase +1,+1 or +1,stock??

thanks for any help

most people just run the +1 width. i dont think you'll need the extra wheelbase due to the fact that a XC quad isnt that wide to begin with. what +1 forward really does is shift the weight balance back on the quad, so your quad would handle as it did before you added the +1 swinger

if its standard travel id have to say Burgard. ive run 8 or 10 sets on various XC 400ex's and no issues. at $450 shipped you cant beat them.

the +1 forward would as muff stated bring you back to stock handling and i recommend it.

Yes, the +1 forward makes a world of difference with the extended swingarm. As far as favorite a-arms, Im gonna have to say Laegers. If this is an XC bike you should be fine with the burgards though and theyre cheaper...
