OK, here's the deal; I have a K&N, no airbox lid, supertrapp slip on, 440 kit, and by the end of the week, a GT Thunder cam. I drilled out my pilot jet, just because my dealer couldn't get one, as a temporary fix, but I want to know which size pilot I should be running. I sometimes ride in -32* weather (winter) so I still want it to startin the cold and all. I can get a 42 pilot right now, but should I wait and get a 45? Also, if I did the 42 or the 45, would/should I remove my choke, or isn't it even worth it? thanks

I've got about the same set-up as you. Couldn't get it to run right w/the 45, better w/the 42 pilot. 175 main w/K&N needle clip on 4th notch (from top) is a good start. taking out the choke will help but may not be an option for you when it's that cold. You could always take out the chpke for the "warmer" months (>0 F.) and put it back in in the Winter? Temp. here is about 40* now, you may need that 45 at 0*.
