i got a new denton steering stabalizer for my 450R and i can't get the clamp on the steering stem tight enough to keep it from slipping and not working, i have a lsr steering stem instead of stock so i don't know if thats the problem or the clamp is just to big cause i can tighten it all the way down to where the clamp is touching on both sides fo the stem. anyway we've tried tape on the stem and then put the clamp over it but that will only last about 1 race then it will just not move the stabalizer when i turn the bars. :(

anyway any help would be greatly appreciated.

You dont mention what kind of steering stabilizer ya have but I know Denton has diffrent size clamps and maybe you got the wrong 1.

Snowgasm is right though. They have several different size clamps for the stem. Give them a call and they should be able to get you squared away. ;)

The aftermarket stems for the 450r aren't as thick as the stock ones.;)
