just sold my z, wondering how a 440 z would do against a cam mod/piped yfz in 300ft?

depending on who did the motor the yfz will most likey win
if you have an all out tc or yoshi 450 the z will win dpending on the rider

I am beating piped yfz with hotcams and a 39mm fcr cdi and 13 front sprocket.
You should be able to spank one with a 440 kit. I will know soon. I think I am going to get the m-tech 434 kit soon.

From what I have heard from a few guys I know that have gone with just a bore and from reading on the boards is that the big bore doesn't give you that much more power. Gives more on the bottom.

A stroker kit is a different story. More reliable and more powerful.

Just get the stock bore tuned right with Hot cams, CDI, Filter, 40mm FCR and an exhaust.

the suzuki with work may be faster on paper but the yfz's lighter weight and quicker evving motor makes it pull a lot harder on the track where it counts

i have a thumper racing 470 kit and as long as i can get the power to the ground i will spank a yfz about 3to4 quads im running stock swing arm so it is hard to get out the hole without spinning my *** off.

you should be right there with the yfz and if you have decent shocks or even an 05 z400 it will handle better too

Are you suggesting the 05 z shocks are better than the YFZ's?

I am curious about how good the z shocks are.

They are the same shocks I have read, never seen one yet, but they are made by the same company.
