Xbox Vs. PS2

Hey I have a PS2 and was considering trading it in for an Xbox.
I can get $100 off a new Xbox with my 5 year old PS2.
What do you guys/gals think?

if you plan on going to LIVE! then get the xbox...if not then i'd stay with ps2 & get san andreas when it comes out

well i had a brand new Xbox i trade for a ps2, let me tell ya... Xbox is way better than ps2. Im a sony man, i like sony over microsoft, but xbox has much smoother gfx. ps2 has better controllers. I would stick with the xbox if i had another chance.

But then again, ps2 has more sweet games then xbox these days even tho billy gates bought out all the titles for microsoft, i dunno where sony pulls these new games outa there *** :confused:

i just got an xbox...and within a 2 weeks i gave the ps2 away because i did not play it anymore the xbox blows it away. and i always was die hard ps2 until i actually found out why every1 loves xbox. the only thing ps2 is better for is san andreas but it will come to xbox hopefully

i had both and i would never go back to ps2 the graphics suck and the games arent very good except for aorf

trade the PS2 the grafics suck on them. Halo(s) for XBox are awesome and will be when Halo 2 come out...PS2 doesnt have any other games other than GTA and sports games. XBOX has Halo and Project Gothan 2 very awesome games!! GET XBOX!!!!

i dont have any video games, but when i play w/ my friends, i prefer the xbox. It is so much more realistic. Just make sure you get the smaller controller, unless you got dinnerplate sized hands.

I don't know... Gran Tourismo 3 A-spec is a damn good game for PS2. I am ganna get san andreas when it comes out on the first week!!!

XBOX ALL THE WAY!!!!!!...I had a ps2 but of couse after a year it broke and i tryed to fix it but no luck then i saved up for a xbox and I LOVE THAT THING!!!.... and yes it dose blow the ps2 away big time... espessially when u put a bigger hard drive in it and a mod chip :cool:

i like my ps2, but if i had the money, i would do what my brother did, he got a mod chip, then a bigger hard drive, no he can save about 40+ games right too it. its pretty cool!!

A-spec gets very boring compaired to Project Gotham. XBOX's games r much more realistic and not near as predictable as PS2 games.-

I had both but I sold the PS2 and kept the Xbox. Like everyone else said, the graphics on the Xbox are much better. Not only that but the game play is smoother and games load in less than half the time of the PS2. Without a doubt the PS2 has more game titles but for me the Xbox has all the ones I want (Halo, Splinter Cell series, Ninja Gaiden and a couple others).

Very true, I still need to get Halo 2, Im working on beating Halo for the second time, it's an awesome game especially when you play with a lot of people.

Im planning on put the Xbox in our Cadillac Escalade;)

I love my PS2, and I wouldn't trade it for any other system out there. At one point I was actually thinking of getting an x box just for halo. But decided not to. I can't stand the x box controller at all. The grafics are better on the x box, but the PS2 had a much better controller than x box. I am a die hard gran turimo 3 fan, and project gotham is much worse than gt3. I have gt4 paid off on pre order already, and I also have some money down on grand theft auto san andreas. They both come in on the same day i belive, and idk which one to play first:confused:

Same here. Games selection supercedes graphix and online capabilities.

i had the ps2 for 2 yrs and decided to buy an Xbox.after about 3 months,i traded the xbox in for more ps2 games.i liked some of the features of the xbox over the ps2 but there was a lack of game selection i play with the xbox compared to the ps2.it might load a slight bit faster and the graphics might be a tad better but if your playing it much less due to the lack of games then what good is it?

XBOX's games r much more realistic and not near as predictable as PS2 games."is quite hilarious.gt3 has much more of a car selection by a few hundred,has about 20 times more of a track selection,and offers about 1000% more gameplay as to what you could do with the cars(mods,tuning and such).graphically they aren't any different.i had both and there isn't anything poject gotham has over any gran turismo series;)

Dude, halo is a reason in itself for buying an xbox. I seriously have never gotten my fill of that game. I still play every day.

I've had X-Box for about 2 years now and all I can say is I LOVE IT. I have PS2 also and as far as the game loading, XBox loads alot faster than PS2. I read somewhere that it loads part of the game on the hard drive so that when you play, that's the reason why it plays so smooth. Alot of times whn you change scene's in a games is smooth, on PS2 you have to wait for it to load. It won't be long until XBox has more games the PS2. Just give it time it will be coming soon I'm sure. San Andrais will probably come to XBox to just like the other two. The only reason why I kept my PS2 was because of the ATV games.

i have em both (i have gamecube too) and i dunno i think i like the x-box better. the graphics are just so much better and the games play so much smoother. i think if i had to get rid of one or the other it would be the ps2

depends what games u get...i love my ps2...the only reason id get an Xbox is for Halo which i play at all my friends house neways, so id stick with the ps2 unless there was somethin wrong with it

xbox hands down

ive played both alot and in all honestly:
xbox- **Halo**, better graphics, no frigen loading, xbox live is the best
ps2-free online play

and for all you that complain over controllers, come on are you like little girls with small hands that you dont get used to it??
