MARIETTA, Georgia (AP) -- A drunken driver hit a telephone pole support wire that decapitated his passenger, police said.

He then drove 12 miles home and slept in his bloody clothes, police said, leaving the headless body in his truck.

A neighbor walking with his young daughter Sunday morning discovered Daniel Brohm's headless corpse in the truck in John Kemper Hutcherson's driveway and called authorities, said Cpl. Dana Pierce, county police spokesman.

Officers said they found Hutcherson asleep inside his home, visibly drunk and his clothes bloody, and later found Brohm's severed head at the crash site.

"It's hard for one to imagine that you would drive miles from a crash site to your home, turning in various directions, and yet not know what has happened to a passenger sitting next to you," Pierce said.

Hutcherson, 21, was charged with vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and failure to stop at an accident with death or injury. He was jailed on a $100,000 bond; it was unclear Monday whether he had an attorney.

Police said Hutcherson and Brohm -- friends since high school -- were drinking at a bar Saturday night and left after Brohm said he felt sick.

Brohm, 23, apparently was leaning out of the window when Hutcherson hit the support wire about a mile and a half from the bar, but police did not know why.

HANOI (Aug. 24) - The family of a 17-year-old Vietnamese boy who died 36 years ago kept his body in their home after a fortune teller told relatives they had buried the teenager alive by mistake.

The boy's family thought he had died in 1968 of illness, but a herbal medicine man said told the father his son was still alive after the burial, the Ho Chi Minh City Police newspaper said on Tuesday.

Stricken with remorse, the father dug up the body and displayed it in a glass-covered coffin, keeping it in the family home in southern An Giang until he recently confessed the macabre secret to a police news reporter.

The newspaper ran a photo of the dead boy's brother posing with his arms folded next to the coffin of his sibling. The body of the boy had not decomposed, the report said.

I listen to a morning radio Talk Show that has a feature called "Bad News Over Happy Music". The news stories are awful and true, but they don't want you to get depressed, so they play the happy music to make it all better. :D

The stories are truly horrific. There was one story about a pregnant woman crossing the road. A car came by doing approx. 70mph in a 35mph zone, and hit the pregnant woman. The car never stopped.

The woman lived, and got up. At this time, another car came speeding around the corner, and she got hit again.

At this point, many people ran to her aid in the street. She couldn't stand, but she could sit up, and she was alive.

Another car came speeding around the corner, this time doing approx. 80mph. There was no time to pull the pregnant woman out of the way. In fact, the people helping had to jump quickly out of the way and narrowly escaped with their own lives.

She didn't survive the third car. None of the three cars stopped.

The radio morning show is called "Rob, Arnie and Dawn". Their website:

http://www.robarnieanddawn.com

They do the bad news over happy music feature twice a week. They have links to the actual news stories and sound files that you can listen to.
