125 0r 250

Thinking about getting a dirtbike. Should I get a 125 or 250?..What are the pluses and minuses of each. I trail ride and a little play racing. Any help would be appreciated..Looking at the hondas..used..

i got a 125 and it hauls *****. ive never rode a 250 but after riding a 125 i cant imagine how fast a 250 would be. if your experienced enuff then get a 250. a 125 has enuff power for most people tho.

I havent ridden on two wheels for about 10 years, I can handle my C-dale quad no problem.. I just wonder is a 125 enough to have fun on for a play bike, or will I wish for the 250? It will just be for playing on.

The 250 would be something worth having for power etc, the cr250 for example makes about i think 46 horse then about 48-49 with a pipe, the 125s are nice bikes for the price and powerwise, not going wrong buying either, The four stroke 250s are nice also ;) Probaly for a more trail friendly bike thats still raceable would be a crf250x or the wr250f i think, Both four strokes...

Get a 250 the 125 is more of a screamer and will wear faster than the 250. 250s make good trail bikes 2

a 125 is plenty for that. i love mine. if you can find one with a lil bit of hop ups like a pipe and stuff it will be even better. i havent even come close to wishing for more power yet.

250. i got a 97 YZ250 and its absoluty a kick *** ride. absolute balls to the walls wfo. its such a thrill

I had an old RM 125 and that thing absolutly flew! Nothing beats hitting that HUGE powerband.

depending on where you live, i have a nice 2001 CR 125 id make you a good deal on. Are you near Indianapolis?

it depends on how good of a rider you are and how big you are...i'm a good rider on my 125 and i am 5'10 145lbs but when i get on friends 2 stroke 250s i can barely ride them let alone jump or climb on them they have to much power for me...i have riden a friends yz250f before and it has alot more power and torque then the 2 stroke 250's i've riden and it was alot easier to handle IMO

Id get the 125, they are light, easy to move around and fun bikes, 250's are awsome too, kinda hard to say, depends on what u wat to do. But 125's are amazing.

I have a yz125 and the thing flies and has tons of power. I dont think the bike suits trail riding though. Try a crf250x or a wr250... they are both awsome bikes, they have tons of power, and can be ridden on trails or on the track.
