Chain ?

Just bought a 03 400ex was wondering how to tighten the chain.

on the back of the swingarm you will see 4 bolts that you will loosen with an allen wrench. loosen all of these so they loose with a bit of slack in them. then you will look left a little bit and and between the rear sprocket and the swingarm you will see a piece of metal. you will stick a screwdriver or something in one of the grooves in this metal and pull down to tighten or push up to loosen. sorry if this description was crappy. it is somewhat hard to explain. it will show you this in the manual if you have one.
