Dirtbike or Quad?

What should I get a quad or a Dirtbike? I got about 5000 but I don't want to spend it all, and I'm lookin at 250r's and YZ250f's but I like other bikes too. What to do.

dirtbike is more my thing, i'll be switching to a crf250 if i decide to keep racing.

I love the CRF250R! It is truly an awesome bike! My friend has one and it flies! Really a well thought out bike, I would highly recommend it.

i went from a 400ex to a RM125 and it is AWESOME. i wanted to get a honda but this RM is a great bike. i think bikes are more fun. i say go for the bike.

get whatever your comfortable riding. I like quads better, but my opinion wont help you one bit if you feel better on a bike than a quad. It all comes down to that.

id sell you a 2000 400ex with renthal bars and a 2001 cr 125 that is getting a fresh engine right now for 5G's. Im in indiana though and you could have both (and both hondas too :blah: )

Yea I'm thinkin maybe a bike might be better, but I might be able to get a 250r with a LRD frame 310 kit and all the suspension stuff for under 4500. or a yz250f for under 3500. And what makes the crf250 better than the yz250f???

I prefer the CRF250R frame over the YZ250F. It is more advanced. Also, the CRF is a 4 valve SOHC as opposed to the DOHC 5 valve YZF. And, the CRF is a Honda!

You could get a 400ex or even a Z400 for 5000.

I've been riding three wheelers and quads for 11 years now and I absolutely love them. I will always be a quad man, always.

However, I simply sit down on my friends KX85 and really liked it. I like quads and all, but the feel of it was just awesome. I would never sell my quad for a dirtbike, but if i had the extra money, i would get one in a heartbeat.

You cant really make a wrong decision here in my opinion. Both are excellent, just depends on what you like. I'd like to have an XR200 or something cheap to ride around on everynow and then for change of pace. Good luck.
