Custom Shorty Pipes

Who all has made there own shorty race pipe out off a full stock or after market exhaust system? My buddy did it to his a while back ago do to the fact when he would wheelie his pipe would hit the ground befor his grabd bar... It was a HMF on a c-dale. Well I had nothing better to do tonight so I cut up my LRD and did some custom work to it.. I cut about 5 and a half inches of the end, and for the most part replaced all the revets.. and put the end cap back on the end... For the people who have Heard a LRD on a 4-wheeler you all know its a loud pipe... Now you should here mine... wow the thing sounds mean as can be now... i get a lil better high end revs out of it to. But besides that i dunno . I havent got the chance to ride much from the time i did it... But Once Ill know how to post pics Ill get sum up on it... Looks sweet as hell....

Thats alright... Cause everyone likes there own thing... The way I look at it... My Quad, My Pipe... Im just wanting to know who all has done it.... Just a quick question whats people knock it for? I didnt make this Thread to listen to everyone get all up set about it just so everyone knows...

dont alot of racers do it? most of the pro's seem to have real short pipes, besides the TC guys

Ya sum guys do and sum dont... Im out to redbud all the time.. My buddy is Runing a supertrap shorty on his 460 which is posted on here for sale by a4strokeguy.

did you have to re-jet after doing this? if not, whats some details on your carb?

Umm Nope I didnt have to... Im runing a 165 Main jet, k&n filter and no airbox lid and a few holes... Like I said I havent rode all to much but for around the farm and to the shop to park it for the night. But Ill be out riding it Sunday a lil bit and Ill let you know.
