I have read the several page thread on decking in this forum, I just want to make sure I am correct in my thinking. Am I correct in thinking you must have .040 quench area? Quench area being the distance from the top of the piston to the bottom of the head at TDC. So if I am decked perfectly I would need a head gasket with .040 squish. If I am say .025 below deck I would need a .015 head gasket. Am I on the right track with this thinking?
