Stock shocks on 400ex 00

I have a 00 400ex and weigh 300lbs what can i do to the stock shocks to make them handle my weight a little better? A friend of mine said I can put in a thicker oil but thought i would put it up for sugestions.

the stock front shocks arent all the great to begin with, if you got the extra cash and called up Works they could probally hook you up for a good price. otherwise you can find a set of Ohlins off of a cannondale speed for a good price, usually no more than $150. Those are supposed to be a pretty nice upgrade from the stock 400ex shocks.

i had the same problem on 300ex....i found some elkas at a good price and now i can do a 55 foot table top with no problem:) if you dont have alot of $$ they lowered the price of there recreational elkas to i think around 450 which isnt much more than works:cool:
