Which do you guys like best? I'm was about to buy a Sparks filter off ebay and thought I'd see what everyone else thought first. I had a K&N on my 03 400EX but was leaning toward Sparks this time. Any suggestions?

I use a Sparks filter, it works great and filters great... I have heard of K&N letting small particles of dust through...

I've heard that too, that's why I'm leaning toward the Sparks. I have the HRC kit and a full Yosh system, do you think I will notice the difference with the Sparks filter?

Maybe a little bit of a difference... I put my filter, and pipe on at the same time so I wouldnt know...

K&N is junk , I built a 416 checked the intake tube, very dirty inside which leads to motor damage, tryed every pre-filter available w/K&N including a special foam pre-filter from GT Thunder which was real good but not as a good as results as foam filter.still same problem..........I think UNI makes the Sparks filter after asking around..........foam is better, I live in dusty Fla. and this is the only way to go..........no performance difference....K&N may be OK for street but not for Offroad:D

Sparks is the way to go. Replacement filter are only $25 so it's a good idea to have two so you always have a clean one.

Think about it...K&N ur gonna get more airflow but ur gonna get more dirt particles also....More airflow= more power thats why some pros use k&ns because they can afford to get there motors done after every race...:o ...

My myself like foam filters for many reasons

Cheap
easy to clean
dont tear up as easy as k&N
dont let as much dust in
cheaper to clean

Personally I would use any foam filter over a K&N any day.

K&N Filters have always worked flawlessly for me. I clean mine after every ride and use an outerwear. Never have seen one single particle of dust in my intake. My friend was kinda amazed when he saw mine one time. Not much dust around here though, mainly dirt/soil and a little sand.
