I have some mohawks for front sand tires and i was wondering if the front brakes would even be worth having in the dunes. It would cut down on a lot of drag. And the back brakes would probly be enough wouldn't they?

I would leave them on. You need them for when you get stuck on a hill for some reason, because when you have to roll back down it, you will need your front brakes. Believe me, if you do all the crazy hills, you will get stuck...lol. They're kind of nice to have when you go down hills forward too, because some hills are steep enough that you go faster when you lock up the rears...

Just keep 'em, then after you go make your decision if you need them or not..

All i do is ride pismo, in Ca. The fronts do a better job of stopping when you need to. Plus they come in handy when you wanna throw the ***** end around in a tight turn. Having them on and not needing them is better than taking them off and wanting them. Just my $.02

A guy named Russ Fletch from Fletch Trick. He is AWESOME at machine work and porting and stuff, but when it comes to dialing in the bike I think that george bush could do better...

Ok my crank was stroked by powroll. I thought maybe they might have done yours. I got it back a while ago and one of the gears on the crank was messed up so my engine builder sent it back. I wish it was ok then i would be able to have my new motor for the dunes. Have you had any expierence with powroll.http://www.powroll.com/honda_trx_400ex.htm
I got the heavy duty stroker.
What kind of power did you get with yours mine will be set up about the same.

As far as I know powroll is a good place to have things done at. A friend of mine has two powroll 415 kits (cam, carb, piston, and airbox lid) and those bikes run very well.

I havent really ever had my bike run perfect, but the one time it was about as close as it could get was at sand fest last august, it ran 63.1 to the wheels on alcohol...:)
