What do you think of the megamax? Will it help out my speed and how is the power?

It helped my quad a whole bunch. it gave it a lot more power (not so much speed but.....it gave me enough power to get a 14t countershaft sproket[13t is stock]) This increased the speed. you will have to get bigger rear tires to gear up your 250ex

Well I have a 400ex, and when it was stock the megamax 2 made real good gains, even before I re-jetted. I still have the same pipe on my 416 with a xr400 cam....

they are pretty good, my buddy has one and he picked up alot of power(with proper jetting) and it sounds pretty good too.;)

It really doesn't matter which pipe you get if your just putting a slip-on pipe on. I had the Megamax II on my Wolverine (just sold) and it made a really big difference. The pipe was pretty good quality, and kept up it's appearance even after alot of deep mud baths. My opinion is...figure out how much you want to spend on a pipe, and then pick the one you can afford that you think looks the best. For the 400ex, there is very little difference from one aftermarket pipe company to another (about 1 hp.).

Myself and a couple of other people i know megamax pipes broke. On the weld between the pipe and silencer.

I flipped my 400, bent the Megamax and it's still in one piece. Pretty tough as far as I'm concerned...

I put my megamax on the same time I put a K&N filter and rejetted it. I noticed more low and midrange torgue with it. I'm going to putting my megamax in the classified section for $140 or best offer if anyone is interested. I'm setting my bike up for mx and would like a pipe that has better topend. :p

i heard that the big gun or the graydon are the best pipes for the 250ex
