haha i learned one thing never base your quad opinions on what you hear on the interent, my yfz is just as reliable as my 400ex was, you just gotta treat them right and they all last, no subframe will stand up to a crash that hard, if it was a 450r it would be just as mangled

not really, it has no problems just yamahas craftsmanship is not up to par with hondas, if you treat a yfz, or yz right it will last like a honda but a honda usually stands up to neglect, and misuse where the yamaha will then have problems

change your oil and clean your air filter every week run 93 octane or higher it will last and last and last.... you dont do that with a honda it will still last..thats the difference, yamis arent junk like i once thought , all of the motor problems ive seen besides a small handful have been cause by the owner the crank problems from what yamaha says is coming from people running 87 octane gas and stuff i dotn know how true it is ...

im not biased one way or the other but neither the 450r or yfz have any real problems, the yamaha has some loose ends such as the decomp plug and stuff but its just lil piddly crap

when people get lazy with there maintence is when yamaha becomes junk
