Going to paint a-arms, what color?

I have a yellow 400ex and the a-arms are looking pretty rough ( weeds took paint off ). So this winter is was thinking about painting them. Does anyone have any ideas what color to make them? i was think red or black. What kind of paint should I use because i dont wanna have them powdercoated? oh yah, and how do you guys get the brown and black out of the scracthes in my yellows, thanks

I dont think you should paint em at all But thats JMO

pick a cheap spray paint and do a quickie job with one side red and the other side black. Then decide which you like better. After that you can sand it down and do it proper. In the meantime, hopefully you should have a better idea of what kind of paint would be best for your application. Really though, powder coating is not too bad if you prep them right. Else you'll probably be re-painting them quite a bit anyways. Cheap solutions usually provide cheap results.
