I've seen some decent trikes. Been beaten by them in sand drags, but never on a track.

One spot where I was I riding at, there was a guy on a Yamaha trike that would spank A LOT of quad riders. He has been riding it since he was a little kid. He had that thing WOT the whole time he was riding!!!!:eek2:

There's a old 250r trike up at Haspin sometimes that can lay the smack down on the drap strip, but I think it would fall apart if he actually took it out on the trails, it looks like a POS, just with a good motor in it. If I remember right, he trail rides something else and just brings the trike to drag...

theres 2 mint atc 250r's in my town. he wants $1700 for both. 83 and 84 i beleive they are. pretty sick. he will seperate too. id like to get my hands on them. hes got an extra motor and other parts

riding a trike will also make your quad riding skills alot better b/c they require so much more body english and form.

the reason i brought up the thread is b/c i was just at a atv jamboree up north and i came 5th out of 20 in the barrel race competion... everyone thought i was gunna suck b/c i was on a 3wheeler and all eyes were on me when the race started and i kicked some seroius *****.

anyway i got alot of respect and changed alot of peoples opinions about trikes.

cant stand trikes...they suck compared to quads... maybe its because my dad damaged his sacrailiac (sp?) on a tecate 3 that would be the nerve center for your legs....

oh and by the way i have seen trikes at mx tracks...they are never any competition....because usual they are like 40 years old guys with no helmets that have bean riding them forever.....

im not tryin to start ***** or anythin but if u would have read above, i beat 15 out 0f 20 sport quad riders on the track... its all about the rider.
u probably just need to race a decent 3wheeler rider who will run w/ u; then ur opinion will change.

RIDING A TRIKE IS WIERD THOUGH
i mean lets say you hit a whoop on one side wont it just come right up on ya?
or when you hit jumps you have to hit them perfectly straight
the last time i rode a trike was when i was 10 yrs old almost 20 yrs ago

A friend of mine has a nice 86(I think)ATC250R. He is better on it than many people are on quads. He rides in Wellsville almost every weekend. That old trike is really fast. My 300 couldn't dream of hanging with the 250R trikes. The first time I rode it I did nothing but stare at the sky. :eek2: That power is addictive.:devil:

i said usually which is usually true...howabout this...at all of the tracks i have bean to exept the sand pit i have NEVER seen a trike.....At many places i ride at...rausch creek,rocky hill etc they are not allowed in the gate.....
