in line fuel filter

would a in line fuel filter keep gas goin to my carb enuff to make it lose power

You probably have a filter in your tank. You really don't need a filter, but I don't think it would hurt your flow, as long as you don't get a really small cheap one.

a fuel filter will definately slow the fuel flow down but it shouldn't be enough to hurt performance. basically i think the filter can flow more fuel than the bike can use. i have one on my 400ex and i didn't notice a power loss.
