i am running ct racing exhaust and have 170 main and on the 4th clip on the ct needle and just got back from pismo and my pipe was glowing bright red at night am i too lean or to rich.thanks for ur help

ur definetly lean. Try going to a 180 main and moving up to the 5th clip.. try a 45 piliot too

My pipe would glow stock. It glows at night now with the DMC.. I would say to an extent, its normal, because of the intense heat put off by the engine.

My pipe is still stock and it glows like mad! It's perfectly normal ;)

i am running the 45 piliot i forgot to mention but i will try going up on the main and needle and see what happens if it still countuines then i will just leave it. but it glows really bright. also does ur fan ever turn on i had my bike for a couple of months now and my fan has not turned on once even if i race up dunes it still does not turn on.

The stock pipe is made of lightweight materials and is very thin..

It is totally normal for the pipe to glow red at night, even in the daylight sometimes... if it goes away when u ride its normal. At idle there no air passing over it to cool it.

It can be reduced by jetting it up, but it is normal with the stock headpipe...

I'm runnin YZ needle in the middle, 45 pilot and 168 main with a Pro Flow, K & N and a Sparks pipe. The Sparks pipe never glows red.

My fan never comes on unless I lug it in 1st or 2nd gear if im riding a pipeline or something slow. If im going fast it wont come on even if im riding for 30 mins to an hour straight.

the stock head pipe glows more thean the aftermarkets becasue thier smaller. also the Expansion cahmber is wat makes the pipes glow red.
if u want to know if its running lean or rich check ur plug..

incilator will be one of 2 colors

white=too lean
balck=too rick

light tanish brown is wat u want

i run a tc with a 162 moain pilot 45 and aftermarket needle and fuel screw adjustments also tc pipe is a big head pipe not much glowing when ideling or running but it dropped my temp by 45 degrees!!
