Good Question.

Stock vs stock fas as suspension I'll go with the Yamaha any day.
I think the stock Honda suspension rides like crap.Now add LT shocks and a-arms and its a different ball game.Of couse I be spending over $2000 on suspension easy.
I racred a friends 450r in the Maxxis 6hr race and we came in 5th in Pro Class. We were going to race my Yamaha but my 2 other friends had 450r's so that what we rode because that way we would have a quad for spare parts if something went wrong.

Second time I rode a 450r it easy for me to ride it felt like it was mine all along.I just felt faster on it and now I what to race one in the rest of the GNCC.It might just be in my head who knows.

I still love the YFZ450 and never had any problems.I ran 600CBR battery also (Thanks Pappy).I would like to keep it and have both but I have to buy parts you the Honda.If I dont do as good or better on the Honda I'm going back to a Yamaha.

Far as power goes the Ymaha feels like it has more power but we just put the HRC cam in my friends quad and now its about the same.The Honda power is smoother and Yamaha is snappy.

I would rather push the button to start my Yamaha than kick the Honda but I never stalled the Honda once and I aleways stall the YFZ once a race.But I havent had the Honda in a tight woods race either.

I have 1" extra seat foam in my seat and the chain adjuster is easy and works fine. Both quad dont brother my back at all.
In fact I feel better after riding.
