Around here where I live there are theese bugs that on of my friends named the death bug. It's actualy called the datsun bug, but this thing is one bad *** bug. It was like 5 inches long. And it flew and had like these giant pincher things on the front of it. Un fortunatley I ain't got a pic of one, but they look like they could kill someone.

I think I know what your talking about, we have them in this part of New York too. A lot of unusual bugs drowned in the fountain we have in our formal garden. And I am the one who has to go around with the net taking them out.

Lmao.:eek2:

Nope, it's not a praying mantis. Those things are cool to watch and I would never kill one, plus my dad likes them when their in his garden becasue they kill some of the harmful bugs and stuff. It's actually illegal to kill them, cause they are so rare. I think the last time I saw one was last year.

Yeah, my favorite is Exriders.

You are closer than the prating mantis, but that still aint the deathbug that I am talking about. The death bug doesn't have the hard shell like that one.

I know exatly what your talking about, but I don't have any pics of them. And they DO bite!!:eek2: My father got bit by one and he said it hurt pretty bad. They are a predatorial bug. The males have REAL long front pinchers, and the females have short ones. They're probably about 3 inches long, black, and have pinchers....O and they FLY!:eek2: Pretty freaky lookin' things...

Thats the closest yet. But it had pinchers and no antana, and the pinchers were horizontal.

Flyinbrian and banshee guy seem to know what I'm talking about, but these bugs can get to be bigger than 3 inches long. Much bigger. Like I said one that i saw was probably close to 5 or 6 inches long.
