well the problem is guys i need some help jetting my white brothers e-series pipe...i have a white brothers air filter and a slip on. i read in the review section about the test on the pipe and the guy that did the test said he put in a 42 pilot jet and a 158 main so thats what i have in it right now. its seem to be running good but when ever i rev the engine and go thrue the gears and back off the throttle it will pop on deceleration is there a air or fuel screw that i need to adjust to fine tune the carb so it wont pop on deceleration or can eney one help me:(

Are you running a stock filter....lid or no? any motor mods. More details bro. Sounds like your eaither lean on the air mixture screw, or the main jet.

Did you put any high temp silicone where the slip-on goes onto the header?? There is usualy a exhaust leak there, so you might want to do that. Also how many turns out on the air-mixture screw did you go??

Usually between 2-3 turns out. I think mine is at 2 1/2 right now and that seems to work well. Yea if you change your pilot you need to take the screw out to even out the mixture. If you adjsut the screw your pop will stop.

You will want to screw the mixture screw all the way in, and go 2-2 1/2 turns out from lightly seated.

so you mean your running 1-3/4 turn from all the way in..but stock position is 2-3/4 turn out i thote turning the screw out ment richening it... does your pop on deceleration? (man this sucks, jetting that is)

Have you tried going higher on your jets? I used dynojet kit and stuck I think the 160 in with the stock pilot jet. I turned my screw out 2-1/2 times as well. I do run a k&n filter with no box lid but even when I put the lid on it doesn't pop on deceleration. It does pop a little bit only when I first crank it up and get on it hard but once its warm it stops that.

It apears to me that everybody has missed your statement that you droped the needle down a little. If you lower the needle (raise the clip) you are leaning out the mixture. This will cause the poping. If you lowered the clip (raise the needle) you are richening the mixture. I would put the needle back in the stock setting (the middle groove) and try that. You really need to work 1 ciurcut at a time. The 42 pilot and 2 1/2 turns out on the mixture screw is pretty standard across the board. Leave the neeedle in the stock location and work with the main jet. The 158 might be a little rich for your aplication. A 155 might be better. Once you get the main sorted out then work on the needle and fine tuning the pilot screw. Hope this helps. Dub. Been there done this.......

Definitely, make sure that there are no leaks where your slip-on meets the stock head pipe. I put that black grease that came with the slip-on and figured it was ok. It still caused some popping when decelerating. I put on some high-temp silicone and that remedied my problem.
