Try to use the thumb lever from a trx 90. It is about 3/4 longer and will give you some xtra leverage.

RedRider... I would really suggest to get the trx 90 throttle. It makes a world of difference. That is what I have on my 300 and when mine had to go to the shop I had to race a stock 300 w/o it. My thumb started hurting also but when we put that throttle on the 300 that I was racing at the time I didn't have a problem with it. So that just kinda goes to show that really does work. ;)

you can get the lever from your local honda dealer. All you need is the lever itself cost about $20.00 and takes about 10 minutes to change out.

remove the 3 screws on the top of the throttle body. Undo the locking tab and remove the nut to the top of the lever and remove. becareful when you slide the new one up in that the return spring is in the correct position, put the locking nut back on and fold the lockng tab back up. replace the 3 screws. adjust throttle adjuster screw.
