KX kill started 400ex

Can someone explaine to me how to hook a kx kill switch, to use as my starter. Not sure if wires need to be cut and if so which ones. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys

i had mine done by east coast atv. if i was you i would get a good race shop to install it. my 2 cents

Just follow the wires from your stock starter switch down to the plug on left side of the frame. Then cut the wires on the sideclosest to the battery ( the recepticle). Then splice in the killswitch wires. It doesn't matter which way you splice them, but I spliced the black to the black (I think it's black) and the white striped to the other colored wire. It's very easy, and I wouldn't pay to get it done. The reason you cut the wire behind the plug is so you don't ruin the wire harness up the there. You can sell it or something. Good luck, it's extremely easy.
