blown up 300ex

get ready for the novel. i just rebuild 2002 300ex: mid web cam, heavy valves springs, wiesco high-compression piston, e-bros header and pipe, port/polish, 140 main jet, k&n filter, 12 tooth front.

it ran great. more power etc. seemed to be getter hotter than before. everyone said of course more gas more air etc. 2 tanks of gas taking it easy on it.

well....it just took it out yesterday and after 5 minutes. TING!!! and skidded to a stop.

got her home and apart. took some prying of course. the flange on the top of the sleeve broke off then launching the sleeve into the crank. piston and rings f@#ked. metal everywhere.

WHY??????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????

damn dude that sux, sorry to hear it... happened to me too but then i just started making a part collection and came back even stronger with a brand new rebuild.

good luck gettin it back on its feet, or whatever you plan on doing

time for the trusty ol' 300 to be replaced by its bigger brother (one of them at least)....whatcha gonna do?
