today i went to the shop to pick of my 350x because it was in the shop to have the stator replaced. well when they took the stator cover off, the oil drained out and they forgot to refill it. when they started the engine to load it onto my truck the engine seized. they let it cool down for a minute and filled it up with oil and it runs fine. could this have caused any damage.

I would make them buy another motor and I wouldnt of paid them

Hell yes, it could cause damage! If it was completely seized, it definitely caused damage and it will have shortened the life of your engine, without a doubt. A new engine will probably cost more than the blue book for a 350X, so you might have to work out a deal with them. Make sure you threaten them with a lawsuit if they balk at all.
