I don't like the way that the PEP mounts up. You should try out the Viper damper, or the Denton rebuildable one.

i would think the denton stabilizer would be better for xc simply because it has more settings(7) but it gets in the way if you have shock ressies mounted on the front of your frame

I was told the GPR only works with the ROLL Design steering stem. Haven't confirmed that though.

I have a PEP stabilizer, and it is holding up well. I have it on the stiff setting, and haven't ever changed it. I also have a WristRester and new FLEXX bars. The combo makes for a bizarre feeling steering system, but adding the Flexx bars honestly felt like I got new shocks again. ( I have Elka piggy tripple fronts and the LT rear setup)

GPR all the way. They are expensive, but last I checked, they were gearing up to be able to fit all stems.\

Most of your through shock type (Denton, Gibson, Graydon) are either the same unit entirely, or real close.

The stem type is the only kind that you can adjust while riding. A necessary item in my mind.

I've been running a WER for almost a year and it is pretty awesome. They are expensive but a lot better than a Denton IMO.
