Just like the title says... I finally found a set of +3 Laegers to replace my +2's and need some help. I have been running the +2 setup with +1 offset front douglas rims for a while. Now that I have gone to +3 would I need the 4-1 offset, or stock offset to get me close to the 50" width I need? This is on a 400ex, so hopefully someone could answer definitely who has run +3 on a 400. I am selling the offset fronts and just need to know what to get as far as either stock offset, or 4-1's... Thanks,. I appreciate the help....

I'm sure you would be fine with stock offset wheels on the width issue, considering the limited mass shocks dont sag a lot.

If it were me I would go with a 4:1. For the steering and bumpsteer advantages.

On my 426 I was running +3 with 3+2 Douglas 190s, and it was at like 48.5 inches wide. The 4+1s handle better like mentioned with no bump steer, but the 3+2s with a stabalizer worked fine for my bike.

isnt +2s w/ 3:2 the same width as +3 with 4:1, but the 4:1 has better handling issues as far as steering and bump steer, i wish ida gone with the +3 instead of 2

From what I've read yes...
