It seems to me that every set of aftermarket arms I've seen are wider than advertised when all is said and done. I've been thinking about a set of +1s; what is the overall width increase including ball joints, and assuming stock offset. I know there will be some variance between brands, but it seems like more than a 2" increase with +1s when you factor in the ball joints.

you have to remember plus 1" is for each a arm which equals plus 2" over all

Yeah, it seems like a little more than 2" to me, too. I think I'll definitely go with the +1 arms; I want a versatile set-up that I can ride everywhere, not just a track. Thanks for the pic. What happened to your front end? Are you still having problems with the Arens/Elka set-up?

A stock 450r is 46.3 inches wide, I put on +3 to get 50 inches wide. Doesn't mean +3 for each side

i've taken this set up to the track and i loved it!!!! much much better then stock... woods i'm pretty much fine everywhere...

the problem is that the old style studs from arens have bolts that back off causing this to happen... i'm waiting on new style studs to get the front end fixed but they are in heat treat for the 2nd week in a row:o

Get the plus 2" and run a 4+1 wheel. That way you get the travel and great steering/handling!

I have +2's on my 400ex and it reads 48 inches wide with 3-2 offset. 48 inches in the rear with a lsr +3 1/2 inch axle.

i just went and measured my 400 and with razr 2s out back the tape read 46 tire to tire on the out side and the front read 42 so if you added +1s withe the new joints figured in the front would match the stock back right???

My houser +1w and +1/2F with 4+1 rims frontend measured 44.5.
