hey i just found some works shocks for fairly cheap they look to be in good shape they have the resivoirs on them but they have been un hooked (unscrewed) r the shocks still good or will i have to get them recharged if so is that expensive? o they are for a honda 300ex.

unhooked?....so the spring has been removed and the top of the shock is open?

i believe he means the ressies have been unhooked from the shock body

ya1 the rezzies have been unhookked so will i need to get them recharged if so what will it cost or cxan i just put them back together and drive i highly doubt that but it be nice or should i just go look for some good one ?

It depends if the original owner released the nitrogen from the valve. Unhooking the line and resevoir from the shock body doesn't necessarily mean that it loses its pressure as there is a bladder and cap assembly in your resevoir with an o-ring in the cap which holds the nitrogen pressure in. But yes I would suggest that you get them serviced anyway.

i think it costs around $300 to get them sercived, thats what my buddy paid at a local shop anyway

I don't know where you're going, but stop going there.:eek: It should be about $60-$100 for the pair for oil, nitrogen, and shaft seals if they're leaking. Now a revalve, that will run you a little more.

he had them revalved sorry im kinda new to aftermarket shocks i thought revalving and servicing were the same... my bad
