400ex broken frame

has any body else broken there 400ex frame, it is right above the shock mounts like the z's do

Yep that is where the 400ex frame breaks. this is a common problem with that frame after it has some time on it.:(

I broke mine but it wasn't at the front shock mounts (that's the common area). Mine broke down by the footpeg where the big cross tube attaches to the main frame tube.

sounds like time to rip er to the frame sandblast er get some steel stock some flux ur MIG and go to town then PC the girly............i know my R frame wont break at the shock mounts.........with PEPs and gusseting the frame is in better shape........stock shocks really hurt the frame with their hardness:eek2:
