Oh yeah thats happened to me before, just did the exact same thing at the Oregon dunes last week:mad:. I've bent 3 shocks like that. The bad thing about this most recent one is that I only got 5 rides on my freshly rebuilt fronts before one of them pretzeled. I was jumping really really high when it happened, but I got a full 2 years out of my last set before they did that, and they were also repeatedly jumped really high. Guess those new +2 A-arms are too much for 1/2 inch shafts. Works are good for the money, They will definately take some abuse, but apparently I ride way too hard for them. Going to Elkas.

Actually, now that I think about it...I have seen that before. Muff, didn't that happen to your rear shock before? I remember seeing all the pics quite awhile ago...

nah wasnt me, the only shaft i've bent would have been one on the denton damper i had:(

i had it happen on a different bike before(maybe not quite as bent) but i removed the spring and put it in a big vise.... wrapped it with some shop rags(the vise to shaft contact points) to minimize scaring and straiighted it pretty good....rode fine....sold bike few months later...

i did that to a PEP shock .....its was my fault but still sucked!

It hasn't happened to me, but I've seen it happen to about 5 different riders. I've also seen 2 or 3 of them break and sling parts all over the track.

Are you sure? haha...I swear it handed to one of your 400's, it was a blue 400 and you were jumping a HUGE jump and something happened so you pretty much nose dived in air and bent everything up, and your rear shock was bent pretty badly. Oh well, guess it was someone else:confused: .
