im going to get a set of 20in tires to mount on my stock rims for riding in the winter. i do alot of road riding in the snow mostly a few inches of snow but can get alittle deeper in some parts. i can get a set of 90% used maxxis razr2s for $85 or i can get a set of new kenda knarlys for around the same price. i know when buying new, the razrs are alot more expensive then the knarlys so is the razr that much of a better tire? what would do better in the snowy conditions and what do you think would be a better deal.
thanks

I have the razrs not the2s but they work really good in the snow. The only times I really had a problem were in drifts and holes where they only thing that wold help are 4x4.

If your getting them mainly for snow get the Knarly's in 22. I have some and they power through snow and mud....
i used the razr2 last winter and they were downright nasty in the snow. could bomb around no probs, a tire much like the kendas or stockers even could provide more floatation and traction on the snow however

I have better luck with Knarly's in the mud and snow.
