how to take off rear shock?

Has anyone had to take off the rear shock to put on a conversion? My dad was woundering if we needed any special tools to take it off and how long it would take to remove. Because we will only be here for about a hour tell we go to st louis to watch a supercross race.

Loosen the top bolt on the shock and remove the nut...then loosen the bottom nut and remove it. Now have someone hold the subframe up while you tap the top bolt out of the shock mount. Then while still holding the subframe tap the bottom bolt out of the mount, now pull the shock out and your down.;) I used a bungee cord and hooked it to the grab bar and then to a high cabenit in the garage to hold the subframe up. I found it easy if you just took off the airbox, then you can get right to the upper bolt
