well i juss put my ssd shocks on my 400 and when you adjust the ring above the top spring it makes the quad sit lower. and i was lookin at the shocks on his predator and i noticed they had the same type of setup. i was wonderin if we adjuted the ring up like on ssd shocks if it would lower the fourwheeler but not burt travel?

adjust the ring up or down to get about 8.5 to 10 inches of frame clearance and you'll be fine

The difference with adjusting the preload on an SSD shock and on ones without SSD like the Predator is when you move the preload ring up on a shock with SSD, it does not effect the stiffness of the shock hardly at all. When you move the ring up on a non SSD shock it will make the shocks softer and could cause bottoming.

thats what i figured, i moved the ring up about an inch and pulled up on the front of the quad and the spring didnt expand to fill the inch i moved the ring up.
