Can you get the 40mm fcr?

if that thing came with all the cables and stuff and adaptors to fit the 450r...then it'd be worth it for me..

comes with the mounting adaptors
we can get the 40 mm carb just not all the goods to make it work on an atv.

How much of a difference does the FCR really make over stock? What are the benefits of the fcr carb over stock? Are there any benefits of the stock carb over this one?

Its not a huge improvement. The stock carb is pretty nice after all. I have the FCR40 and its a throttle response imporvement, it feels like it accelerates faster, and is funner to ride, but not faster, mabe quicker.
$580 WOW, thats pretty steep though. I love you guys at C&D but WOW....
Mine was good to go for less than $375.
I see the Hot Start on the Carb body That has to suck a bit dosen't it? Or do you have a cable that fits in there and goes to the stock location?

KGBG I have not tried the carb yet. I will have to try it out and see what cables work. You may have to buy the cable for the dirt bike for the hot start

Colby, just a FYI:
You can use the stock cables (hot start and throttle) on the CRF FCR40. You can splice the end of the TPS plug from the stock carb on to the end of the TPS off the FCR40, it all works excellent. The only issue you have to deal with is the fitment (size of air box side bell), you can buy adaptors, but I run a no air box set up, and it works great.
I would be curious to hear how a racer likes the carb, I could see it making you faster between turns, for sure, but in the dunes, I don't see it as a HUGE advantage.

$580 might be high, But its a lot cheaper than Baldwins $850 for the same setup. ;)

Baldwins kit comes with the works connection clutch/hot start lever also. Thats why its so much.

An aftermarket clutch lever and hotstart is an excuse for a $500 overcharge

Not a very good excuse. I really like Mark Baldwin, and he has plenty of my money, but not for that.
Thanks Gabe, your carb info helped ma lot. It actually runs alot better with the TPS.

I have a right at $400 in my complete FCR setup (Brand new)... Choke, Hot Start, TPS, everything works like OEM.

That's a $450 upcharge by my calculations.
