View Full Version : which is best quad 400ex or 350raptor

Im trying to figure out which quad to get i know the ex is faster but I like the 350's styling what mods should I do to beat a piped 400:confused:

The handling is the most important thing when looking at two quads in the same class. The 400ex out handles the Yamaha easily.

If I had a choice between the 2 I would take the 400!! I'm sure you can mod it out WAY more than the 350 ;)

think of it this way would you rather have a 4 valve 397 sohc thats good and proven or a 2 valve 350 thats heavy and old

Speaking of styling... I think it's funny that the old Badger is selling like hotcakes now that they put different plastic on it and call it the Raptor 80! Are there also people out there that think the "Raptor 350" is new?

for real, how many dummies can yammi get with new plastic, there a great comp but stickin pointy plastic on a 15-20 year old quad, comeon. the warrior...........oh wait THERAPTOR 350 is a fine mount, but the ex is way WAY better dont let pointy plastic get the better of u. it will take a serious cubic investment and a diet to get the WARRIOR to come close to the EX:)

400ex, hands down. the yammi 350 is bulletproof like the ex, but is slow as hell. depends on your speed.

The raptor compares to the 300ex. In a magazine they tested the two and the 300ex won. The raptor isnt the same as a warrior. It ha a diff frame and diff. specs.

Ive had the chance to race a Raptor 350 small coarse and smoked it but in a 300yd strait he just beats me "6th gear" other than that he ate my roost that is when he was close enough!

and trust me my 400ex blows both of thim out the water go 400ex;)

FORGET BOTH I SMOKE BOTH ALL DAY ON MY Z400 DONT LET THE EX GUYS FOOL YOU THE Z IS FASTER AND WATER COOLED AND IF THE SEAT IS TO HIGH FOR YOU SHAVE IT TO MAKE IT FIT YOU

Ride both and you will not care about the styling anymore. The 400ex is much faster than the raptor 350 and handles alot better. To beat a piped 400ex, you would have to do alot more to the raptor 350 than a pipe and air filter.
