A 450R or a strong 426/440ex? I rode a 450r today and did notice how much I was fighting the front end to keep it planted. Can I expect the same or worse with my TC 426ex that I am planning to get built?

Bump:confused:
Your EX, given a stock swingarm, should be atleast as light.

As you probably already know, I have that motor kit youre talking about... You will have to fight to keep the front end planted unless you add a +1.25 swingarm on it. Adding the swingarm is pretty much a mandatory mod for anyone with a built EX...

There's not really much difference between them, either way you need to have your weight forward before you hammer the throttle. The R isn't as torquey so you have to get the revs up a bit before it tries to lift the front-end, but when it does start pulling hard it will lift the front-end quickly. On the EX, depending on what cam you choose, it may have enough low-end torque to lift the front wheels even at a fairly low RPM, but it will be a slightly more gradual lift that you can feel coming before it happens.
