I have a stock 300ex with no aftermarket skid plate, I do almost all trail riding. I do a little bit of backyard track rding with some nice jumps. Looking to get rid of the bubbly back tires, I will be keeping the stock fronts.
What size rear tire should I get, I was going to put them on the stock rim to save some money. I dont want to loose to much clearance and bottom out on everything. With the stock tires it feels like I am going to fall over when hitting some turns hard. Any size tips? width? height? rim size change or not?
Just looking to get a better look and some better handling, I will also be riding in mudd and mostyl dirt and rocky terrain.
Thanks

go with a 20-11-9 tire and wheel combo.

i have 22-11-9 dirt devils for trail riding but it kills bottom end power, but execellent ground clearence, i just bought an extra set of wheels with 20 inch tires for playing around on. wheels are not too pricey if you take some time finding them.:D

Which brand tires, I was originally thinking hole shots.
I want traction in most terrain, but also want to be able to throw the quad into some turns and slide a bit, instead of feeling like i am going to fall over.

definatly go with 22x11x9 with 20s you will hit all the time! check out MAXXIS All Trak they have a good thread design for your needs! and they also have good side biters for rocks!

get a set of Razrs. Great all-around tires. If you want more ground clearance....get the 22-11-10's, and go down a tooth on the front sprocet. If you are happy with the stockers, get the 20-11-10's:cool:

I run 22 razrs great for the trails. The increase in width and tire contact make it much more stable in the turns too.
I would look into a second set of 20's on those new itp rolled lip or stock rims for conditions permitting. If you have the time between going to a 14t is a good idea too.
