Rode a Quadzilla today!

I went riding with my buddies today out in the country and one of them brought out his 89' zilla. He hardly ever rides it so i've never had a chance to get on it until today. That thing was ridonkulous. I have ridden a yfz 450 before until i got that zilla it was the fastest thing I have ever got on. I never got on it real hard because i wasnt used to it but the acceleration on that thing was crazy. I would barely blip the throttle and it would jump out from under me. We all lined up just for fun. my quad my bros and the zilla we all took off and the zilla just roasted us ! i knew it was alot faster but geeez. I'm thinking about buying it and fixing it up to drag it. This is the same one that my friend wants to trade for my bros ex I talked about in another post. Talk about pure addrenaline . Only bad thing about it is its pretty hard to kick start. You have to learn a certain technique to fire it up i was told.That thing is awesome!

its a suzuiki quadzilla 500 i believe i think they were only produced in 87,88,sorry no pix but that 500cc is a two stroke

it is an old quad suzuki made it back in the day they are sweet

This one was an 1989 Suzuki LT500 quad racer. Quadzilla or zilla is just a nickname. These quads had 50-52 hp from the factory. I have heard that they are the fastest production quad ever. My budy had this one bored .60 over had a cool head and gold series fatty pipe on it. So i dont know how much HP he is pumping out.

they where made from '87 to '90. the fastest ting ever made. i guy that /I know had one back in the day he said that the cops clocked him at 102mph :eek2: all stock he said that every time that he went rideing the back tires would be shot b/c of the power it would just spinn the rims insied the tires and back then they didnt have bead locks or any thing more than 2ply tires.
he had his bored .60 over piped and ported and polished later on and that put him in the hospital! then se sold it :eek:

Here is one that I have for sale. It is an 87 and has been rode very little (still has the origional tires). It was ridden in the sand only and has never seen mud.

Thats a nice looking quadzilla jeff! I remember the first time i rode my buddies lt500, I was probably about 13 years old and man did that thing haul some ***. Everything else after that felt like a slug. He sold it though because it was really hard to maintain and it couldnt stand constant riding.

High 30's-low 40's?

But a 2-stroke is going to produce more HP than a 4-stroke, especially if it's a monsterous 500cc's.
