450R Suspension Valving

I am wanting to know what people have done to set up stock 450R suspension for cross country racing. What valving changes have you made? What spring changes have you made?

I am in process of revalving and I would like to know what has been done so my R&D time is very Small.

Rob u need to have honda let u put on a set of aftermarket suspension set up LoL !!!

oo i switched to axis shocks now to.

I race XC and before I put on Elkas, I revalved the front and rear with a bigger opening (not sure how big). Springs remained the same, but it lowered the entire quad a few inches and could corner like no other (with stock shocks).

TCS set mine up, I believe DeRisi (on here) does it as well.

Any better valving will increase your cornering and softness.

Thanks Santo. I only rode a 250EX while I was in Japan and one day...I feel embarrassed...but I rode a YFZ450 one day while I was over there. Other than that I just raced once in Iowa. I am now trying to set up the suspension before I go to West Virgina. I do have full Showa support but I am trying to minimize the R&D because the guy I am working with is newer and does not know the correct XC settings.
