I recently put a HMF slip on onto the 450R. right now it has the airbox lid removed, Uni air filter, and hmf slip on..... i put in a 180 main jet like the website says and the plug was all white (lean)

what are you guys running for jets in ur 450r with a HMF exhaust?

I have the full system and HRC kit and run a 190 MJ @ 2000' Elev. At the coast I bump it up to 195.

you may be lean low down in the rpm, i cant imagine you being lean with a 180 .

we run a 180 or 170 with no lid and its fine. how are you doing a jetting run?

didnt have any place to do a plug chop last night so i was just riding it around the track like i would normally do and check the plug.

if your running a slip on with a closed box, you should be ok with stock jetting. slip on with open box...180. full system no matter what...180-190!

I am running an HMF slip-on with the stock filter, no lid, with an outerwear. I am at sea level running 185 with the needle raised one position(clip lowered one spot), and the mixture screw around 2.5 turns out. Stock pilot jet. Jersey, are you saying run 180-190 with the lid on if it's a full system? If so, you are way off. We run full systems with 118-120 with the lid on. Spot on.

Go up with the jet dude. I'm running a cut airbox lid (HRC style) and a HMF Pro BB slipon and got a 185 and runs great, no needle change and 2.5 turns out.
