I am having a small problem with getting the nuts loose off my front wheels on my 400 ex. They are on there extremely tight seems like. Will I need a torque ratchet to get them off? Also do you know if the threads are left handed or right handed? If someone could give me the torque specs on these as well so I can torque them when putting them back on I would appreciate it.

Any other tips or hints would be helpful.

just put some muscle behind it,and it is normal way to get them off, counter clockwise,if you have to,put a ziptie around the brake lever to hodl it then just take umm off,and when putting them back on,just as soon as it gets tight, give it a couple good umphs lol and it should be good

put a long pipe on the end of the ratchet it will give you a little more leverage and make it a hell of a lot easier

lol must have been good tools if you broke them, lol the pipe idea is good, but that is a last resort kind of thing,if you don't hold it on the nut good,it will slip on and you will strip the bolt,i only use that on my axle nuts for the hubs and stuff:o

Use an air gun to do it (or w/e it's called, I really can't think right now). Works pretty damn good, just don't use it when tightening them because you will break something. Buy a manual and it will tell you all the torque specifications.

When you put them back on torque them to 47 ft/lbs! Its what it calls for in the manual
