Well I bought my new 04 400ex new last weekend and could only ride it around a field by my house because I didnt have any time to ride any where else because of work.

Yesterday after work I finally got to go for a ride with my friend on some train tracks and we got to a bridge over a stream where you had to go down into the woods and across the stream to get back to the tracks. Well there was a post on the side of the trail that i rubbed the back right tire against and it instantly went flat. Took a closer look at the post and towards the bottom there was bard wire wrapped around it. I couldnt see it because it was hidden by tall grass. Tire had a slash in it about 1.5in long on the side wall to the treads. Rode it back to the truck flat. First thing this morning I ordered a set of holeshot xc 20x11x9. I know the 6 ply wont help for barb wire but it should help out for the sharp rocks.

This sat we have another ride planned and luckily I have a spare set of wheels off my 300ex with razrs on them.

That really sucks, you should cut that barbwire so the next time you go down to that spot it doesn't happen to you or anybody else.

Do you like it or what?:blah:

We are definitly taking a pair of snips with us on saturday because we are planning to go back there.

I like the 400ex a lot. I used to ride my buddies a lot so im very familiar with it. Climbs awesome and 4th and 5th gear wheelies on the road are where its at! :D

Where are you from BOOSTDGT? That sounds like the old train tracks I used to ride on.

Tracks that are connected from Maryland to Indiana can happen, although unlikely.:blah:
