Its the R worth selling my 400 and getting one?

how does it run? start? reliable? what kind of power?

Is it a good bike for a season or haresrambles and trailriding/dunes?

and if you own one how it looks like the front plastic extender past the headlights, how would it look if it was cut off even with the light? would there be a big gap? and how much extra lighting can be added for night racing/riding?

thanks for help

i think it'd be great for harescrambles and dunes because of the amazing low-end torque. Starts pretty easily, runs good, reliability is great, i love it, hasn't let me down once yet

i would have to say its worth selling your 400ex, because unless your are just an amazing rider, you wont beable to touch any of the 450's. i ride a lot with my friend who has a nice 400ex, and i cannot stand riding it. the gears are way to short, the power feels like its all down low, and the brakes are horrible compared to the 450r. ill admit he kicks my *** in the trials, but its only because hes a much better rider then me.

alright looks like im getting a 450. I like the 400 but the gears are way to short fallowing my friends on z400s and yfzs i am stuck between gears all the time, and when it revs up it has a lot of vibration i think compared to most other sprt bikes.

I used to have a 400ex with a full white bros pipe and I sort of regretted selling my 400 at first. Thats cause I had to wait for the 450r to come out. Anyhow now that I own the R I wouldnt go back. The 400 is a good bike but just not as good as this.
