You said it! I've had lots of other builders stuff and the walsh stuff really is a cut above. I would match their products up against anyones. Top quality, works great and looks good too! Their "savior" rear linkage is truly amazing. It transforms this quad into a trully great machine.

VERY clean and still sano

Couple of questions:

-Why a +1 swwwinger? +2 or 3 too long? Looking back, did you make the right decision?

-Where does Mr. Waters hang out these days? I have lost track of CBW these days and I have some work on the horizon.

-Is your seat done by the guy who goes by Str8twicked?

Thanks lots.

I went with the +1 after talking to Mark Baldwin and Nate Walsh. It is perfect for me! I really can't say enough good things about the handling of this quad. A very big part of it is the walsh linkage it alone totally changes the rear end on the trx.

CBW hangs around rriders sometimes I can pm you with his # if you want.

Str8twicked did the seat. It looks really good in person and the detail work is great.

walsh has directions on their site somewhere on what they recomend that you use for WRC bikes and production based bikes. The walsh setup to me seems superior to almost everything on the market these days. this is in my opinion so no flaming. i love my front end and im looking foward to getting a swinger setup, subframe and stem soon.

This is by far the best suspension package I have ever run.

I ride sand here is the set-up I run:
Camber between 2-4 degrees
Castor Between 3-4.5
Toe 1/4'' in

I generally start by screwing the heims all the way in then back only the rear ones out 3 turns for a starting point and go from there.

I have a 2 station, top and side opening 6'Lx4'Wx3'H cabinet with a capture/filter unit. It's a good size for quads and motorcycles. I do a lot of harley frames and this works really well for that. You can get bye with a smaller cabinet for newer quads that have a seperate sub-frame. It is just a good rule of thumb to go the next size bigger than you think you'll need if you can afford too. You'll always find stuff that are an inch or two too big. So go as big as you can.

OSM, I went to Walsh's site and had a few questions for you? Are you happy with a +1 swinger or could you have went+2 and been happier? Also are you using their +2 A arms or the new +3? Sorry for all the ?s but I didnt find that info in your posts

oldsandman

It started as a red trx. I was able to get the black plastic so it became black.

The sparks exhaust is well built, bolts right up and works well.

Yeah I'm back for a while and will be getting up there soon. I'm going to bring the wife up so may be during the week... As soon as I have a hard date I'll let you know. Do you have any plans?

No hard plans. The girlfriend and I used to make several trips a year, but she's not too keen on going much anymore. Most of my trips now are spur-of-the-moment. I hear that somebody else is going, so I load up the essentials and head out. I haven't made a serious, planned dune trip for several months.

Hey Oldsandman.....where did you put the rear rezzi? I just got my Custom Axis rear shock and can't figure out where to put it. Thanks for any help.

Oldsandman,

Can you give us some detail shots of your Magura setup when you get a chance? What model did you use? I have my hardly used Magura from my 400 that I would like to try to put on my 450 when I get it next month.

Thanks,
:D

I put mine on the left side of the sub frame. Or you can put it on the left top frame rail.

Thanks for the reply.......I ended up putting mine on the bottom left frame rail. It was a tight fit, but it works out alright.
