Ralph,
The bluefin tuna have to be 27" and you also have to have a permit to keep them. Does your friend have a permit? My friend brought one home for me this weekend, neat looking fish. Man was it good! He also brought me approximately 10 bluefish already fileted. We ate some as soon as we got them Sunday evening and froze teh rest. Fresh cought fish is the best!

4Wheelboy,
I beleive the place you're talking about is called the "canyon".

I haven't been out with my buddy yet but I'll be going right after Labor day when the kids are back in school. He just got a new boat this summer and he's been out alot. He went shark fishing last month! I can't wait!

The mates on the boat just said they needed to be 27in so maybe if they have the permit its ok. Yeah the bluewish was ok but im not a big fish person so...
